ward map
As the map on the city's web site shows, the only straight line on our ward boundaries is Arsenal on the north. The southernmost section of the ward ends at Montana, the westernmost at Morganford and the easternmost at Louisiana.

Walking The Ward
We've been walking around the ward for weeks now, introducing ourselves to neighbors and talking about issues and ideas people have for making our ward even better.
We've almost accomplished our goal of visiting every single block in the ward. We'll be finishing up during the next two weeks and will have visited about 2000 homes!
If we missed you and you'd like to discuss something, please email me at jan@janclinite.com and I'll get in touch with you.
It's been great to hear about all the activities going on in different parts of the ward and I appreciate people's optimism and openness. I'm happy to live in such an energetic, diverse neighborhood and look forward to representing you on a city-wide level.

FAQ 4 - How do I get one of those fabulous yard signs?

We'd love to put a yard sign up for you!
Just send an email to signme@janclinite.com letting us know your address and one of our wonderful volunteers will bring it by in a jiffy!
I really appreciate the support of everyone who is helping us get the word out about our campaign.
FAQ 3 - Why Are There Two Democratic Ward Organizations in the 15th Ward?
There are two separate ward organizations in the 15th Ward representing the Democratic Party because they have very different philosophies and often endorse vastly different candidates in primary elections.
The older organization, Democrats of the 15th Ward, is a "closed" organization, meaning that endorsement decisions are made by the Committeeman and Committeewoman.
In contrast, The 15th Ward Democrats is an "open" organization, meaning that anyone in the ward can join the organization and have an equal vote in our endorsements. There are minimal time and meeting attendance requirements for voter eligibility.
We formed The 15th Ward Democrats in 2001 because we believe that EVERYONE who wants to participate as a member of the ward organization should have a say in determining which candidates receive the group's endorsement and support. Our open voting system ensures transparency and increases citizen participation.
I believe our open philosophy has led to the high level of dedication and enthusiasm we have in our membership and has given us a better sense of which candidates the majority of voters in the ward support. One example is the most recent State Senate race in which our endorsed candidate, Jeff Smith, received 72% of the vote in our ward while the current Committeepeople's endorsed candidate (who came in 4th) received 6%.

Pride Fest Parade

As we do every year, the 15th Ward Democrats participated in the Pride Fest Parade on June 29th. This year our truck featured campaign signs for Gregg and me. And beads, of course. Lots of beads!
