The period for absentee voting by mail or in person has already begun!
Who Can Vote Absentee
If you are a registered voter in Missouri, you can vote absentee if:
· You will not be in the county where you are registered to vote on Election Day;
· You are incapacitated or confined due to illness or physical disability;
· You are primarily responsible for the care of a person who is incapacitated or confined due to illness or physical disability;
· Your religious belief or practice prevents you from voting in person on Election Day;
· You are working for the election authority as a poll worker or supervisor on Election Day at a location other than your own polling place;
· You are incarcerated under pre-trial detention or for a non-election related misdemeanor, provided you retain all qualifications for voting.
Absentee Voting by Mail
A voter may apply for an absentee ballot from the Board of Elections in person, by mail, by fax sent to 314.622.3378, or by downloading an application from the Board of Elections.
The deadline to request an absentee ballot is October 29. Completed absentee ballots must be received at the Board of Elections by 7:00 PM on November 4.
Absentee Voting in Person
Voters may also go directly to the Board of Elections to absentee vote in person. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The deadline for absentee voting in person at the Board of Elections is 5:00 PM on November 3.
